NiceRX
NiceRx helps people get affordable prescriptions, through patient assistance programs and direct subscriptions. I redesigned the whole product: the patient portal, mobile app experience, assessment, and marketing site. Assessment completion rose from 45% to 54%.
Impact:
45% → 54% assessment completion (+20% relative)
+26% subscription renewals completed in the portal

The problem: Getting medication through NiceRx can be complicated. Patients enroll in assistance programs that need income proof, insurance cards, and Medicare documents. They wait for approval from pharmaceutical companies, then receive shipments at home or pick them up at their doctor's office, all while managing billing and renewals. Each step had its own status, and patients couldn't see where they stood. So they called support, or gave up.

Key decisions:
1. Make status the core of the product. Every medication, document, and shipment shows where it stands: enrollment pending, waiting for pickup, received, renewal pending. A "?" next to each one explains what happens next, so patients don't have to call.
2. Separate assistance programs from subscriptions. Each program gets its own list. Every medication opens into one view with directions, shipments, and billing, plus actions to refill, pause, or cancel.
3. Let patients close the loop. A "Medication received" button with a date picker confirms delivery and keeps refills on time.
4. Billing without surprises. The next charge, discounts, invoices, and payment methods are all on one page.
5. Carry it into the marketing site. Price comes first, the path to treatment is three plain steps, and the assessment is presented as a step toward a provider's decision, never as a diagnosis.

Results: The redesigned portal and site gave patients one place to manage the whole journey, from assessment to refill.
